EICS 2024 Wrap-up
EICS has just finished, and we are happy and proud of the success of this edition. It has been a pleasure to host this friendly community in Cagliari, attend all the great scientific research sessions and have fun with the attendees.
EICS has had a great programme this year. We started with two tutorials and three workshops on June 24 and 25. Then, the three days of the main conference hosted eight paper sessions and four doctoral consortium presentation sessions together with posters and demos during lunch breaks.
Each day has been opened by a keynote: Julie Williamson on Wednesday, Patrick Baudisch on Thursday and Cristina Conati on Friday. We also hosted a panel celebrating 50 years since the first conference on Command Line Languages and 30 since the first DSV-IS, which originated EICS.
The attendance increased to 87 registered participants, mainly from Europe but with representatives from the north and south America, Asia and even New Zealand!
The social event allowed the participant to enjoy the Poetto beach while tasting great Sardinian seefood.
We are grateful to all the people who attended and repaid all our efforts in organizing this wonderful conference. We thank the organizing committee and all the people in our lab who helped during this year. And we really look forward to the next edition in Trier!
