CG3HCI at IS-EUD 2025 in Munich

Last week the CG3HCI Lab joined the International Symposium on End-User Development (IS-EUD 2025) in Munich, sharing some of our latest work on how people without programming skills can create their own software.

We were proud to present two papers:

Conversational Rule Creation in XR: User’s Strategies in VR and AR Automation
Alessandro Carcangiu, Marco Manca, Jacopo Mereu, Carmen Santoro, Ludovica Simeoli, and Lucio Davide Spano.

This study, part of the PRIN project EUD4XR in collaboration with ISTI-CNR Pisa, looks at how users approach the challenge of creating automation rules in VR and AR using conversational interaction.

Leveraging EUD and Generative AI for Ethical Phishing Campaigns
Bernardo Breve, Paolo Buono, Loredana Caruccio, Federico Cau, Gaetano Cimino, Giuseppe Desolda, Vincenzo Deufemia, Rosa Lanzilotti, Lucio Davide Spano, and Cesare Tucci.

This contribution, from the PRIN project DAMOCLES with the Universities of Bari and Salerno, explores how End-User Development and Generative AI can be combined to design ethical phishing campaigns that help raise awareness and improve security training.

Of course, IS-EUD was not only about papers and presentations. The social programme gave us a chance to connect with colleagues in a different way. The dinner at Augustiner am Platzl was a real highlight: hearty German dishes, plenty of laughter, and (naturally) excellent Bavarian beer.

We came home with fresh ideas, new collaborations on the horizon, and a reminder of the great community spirit that makes IS-EUD such a special venue.
