Matteo Mocci is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Cagliari, Italy. His main research interests are Urban Analytics, AI and Human-Computer Interaction; currently his focus is on assessing automatically pedestrian perceived walkability of road paths using Artificial Intelligence models. He is the tutor of the IUM (“Interazione Uomo Macchina”, Human Computer Interaction) course at the University of Cagliari. During his master’s studies, he began working at the Sustainable Mobility Center (MOST), Spoke 9 - Urban Mobility, where he fine-tuned deep learning models to predict pedestrian-perceived walkability using both street-view and satellite images.
