Cinolib library received the "SGP Sofware Award"

CinoLib, the C++ library for surface and volume mesh processing maintained by our group has received the prestigious “SGP Software Award” during the conference Symposium of Geometry Processing 2024, which was held last June at M.I.T., Cambridge, USA.

SGP is the most prominent scientific conference on Geometry Processing worldwide. On the occasion of its 10th edition in 2011, the SGP steering committee, in cooperation with the GeometryFactory as a sponsor, has established the SGP Software Award program. The intention of this award is to recognize researchers in the field who have contributed to the scientific progress in Geometry Processing by making their software available to the public such that others can reproduce the results and further build on them in their own research work.

CinoLib, a C++ library created by Marco Livesu (cino) and maintained by Marco himself and other members of the CG3HCI group, has received this prestigious award during the closing ceremony of SGP 2024, which was held last June at M.I.T., Cambridge, USA. A video of Marco receiving the award is available at this link.

CinoLib currently holds around 920 stars and 100 forks on github.
